I live in the Charnwood area of Leicestershire and have always enjoyed working with wood. It was my favourite subject at school, I have worked with wood during some of my working life and have created many wooden items over the years for all my family and friends. I am passionate about saving old woodworking tools and interested in traditional wooden toys and games.
My tool collection now includes lathes so I have been able to concentrate on woodturning.
No two items I make will be exactly the same. Wood is a natural product and often two pieces of timber will not necessarily perform the same when crafted. I often recycle timber that has already had a previous use. When I use fresh wood, I use locally sourced English hardwoods.
